I’ve often wondered “What did the losing side think of the battle?”.

Obviously Napoleon believed he was going to have a decisive victory, until Nelson’s army stood up and the Royal Guard started fleeing. Kublai Kahn probably fought it would be an easy fight, until a typhoon decimated his fleet.

So here we have the dichotomy, one side is certain they’re going to be perfectly fine, the other is getting doubts based on the present issues.

I’m sure Arthur isn’t telling something in the last panel…

Of course, the Empire wasn’t kidding when they said they’d attack. Nice kaleidoscope soldiers in that penultimate frame, but I can certainly do better now that the program doesn’t crash under the weight of that kind of graphics.

Parent-offspring interactions, always fun to write. And of course here we see the first mention of the infamous Terprat’s Causality Principle!

This comic certainly shows an upgrade in thet art of the background view. Facial features and bent sleeves rear their mocking faces as if to leer at me again.

Oh well, I’ve done a whole slew of comics now, I’m certainly not going to redo the artwork just for this archive, especially since I can’t for the Missing Pages selection…

Once again a number of art issues appear, but this time I can add facial feature positioning in a number of cases to it as well.

On the bright side, the last two frames are a nice artistic touch, and this is the first page to catch a view of the Pikalites, though that one should work on making bigger snacks if he wants that big promotion…

I started actually making this comic a while back.

I have to say that the flaws in the art are waymore apparent now than they ever were when I was making it…

For example, the slightly light outline of the curved sleeves is because, somehow, the line colour got put to 53 and my screen was largely too dark for me to notice. Then there’s the complete lack of a female body type for Rain, Steph and Lorna (The girl in black in frames 6 and 7). I’d still call it passable though, but certainly not my best ever..
