Lord of the Rings Orc reference, big explosions, people falling unceremoniously to their unseen demises.
Yup, this comic has them all.

As a kid, I grew up watching the classic British comedy, Red Dwarf. Now (For the most part) grown, I have the entire series on DVD, and of course one of the most memorable lines is Craig Charles as David Lister yelling “Change of plan: LEG IT!”
Hence, Igon’s line, parodying Leg It.
The first time I showcased this comic, more than one reaction was the assumption that Oscar was going to arrive at the teleportation destination in one piece, with the other a significant distance away. Fortunately, Teleport doesn’t work that way.

Last night I saw amidst the square
A bloodied man whose eyes did stare.
His eyes had gone from there today.
How I wish his mind would stay.

When you’re travelling with spellcasters, easily two of the most commonly heard words are going to be “Expeditious” and “Retreat”, and of course the melee character (In this case Oscar) is usually the one that causes the very same utterance.
You can undoubtably tell that, despite the art upgrade, Rain’s body shape hasn’t changed much. She is female, her hoody just covers up most of her curves. If you ever see her without the hoody on, you’ll see what I mean.
I do not mean you’ll ever seen Rain in partial or total nudity.

The song just seemed completely perfect for this comic.
Yup, one very pivotal moment in the comic’s history so far.
It seems almost a shame that it’s alsothe first time Steph meets with my most recent art upgrade: Female body types!
So, I guess you can either like this comic for the art or loathe it for the content. I think it’s a success.

Wow, we haven’t heard mention of Nemes (Yes, it’s a typo, feel free to revel in it) since page 1. He’ll be playing a bigger part later on though, so he should get some more screentime.
And of course, whilst Nemes had that fancy-looking quarterstaff, Igon gets that rather plain-looking one with a major secret. Rain’s comment about the Eversmoking Bottle is something I’m liking in this comic.
I’m sure everyone is guessing by the uniquely-designed Orcs and Elves in this that something big is going to happen.
Enjoy.

I’ve had more than one person tell me they don’t know what the Troll Skeleton in the penultimate frame is doing.
Well, try and guess, it may or may not involve a popular music-based video game.
Either way, I like making this little humour bit with the otherwise scary Immortals.
The Red-glassed Immortals are arcane-based, summoning mass quantities of undead for a brief period, whilst the Blue-glassed ones are divine-based and summon a smaller volume for days at a time.

And here’s that second two-part comic I promised.
Some might say this will reinforce Lex’s decisions to side with the Empire, but you should certainly keep note of Igon’s statement. He is not kidding.

Irony is the cornerstone of comedy, and those paying great attention might recognise this specific Skyrider, right before his apparent grisly demise.
The next comic is the second ever TWO PART COMIC! Hurrah!
