And so we have our donations box. Give generously folks!

ABR players might recognise this location, others will be finding out definitively in a couple pages.

Oh, and “Merlock” isn’t a Warcraft reference, at least not intentionally. It’s a portmanteau of Merlin and Sherlock [Holmes].

Work on the donation box/tip jar/ransom briefcase is ongoing, I’m mostly trying to get the PayPal set up and then it’s just a picture link to the donation page. It’ll definitely take up the Advert slot below.

I’m not entirely happy with this page, I was wracking my brain for most of a week trying to come up with some reason for Igon to have a bad night’s sleep, that the eventual explanation left little space for the main consequence: The teleport mishap.

However, now that I have my poorly-placed plot device, you can be certain things are very much going to heat up, since the last time his spell mishapped it landed them in the middle of an un-allied Drow city…

Oh, and the symbol in rocks has been seen before, cookie to whoever finds it!

Every fantasy story should eventually reference Shrek I think, there’s just too many jokes available with it. Azul is apparently a fan, given his grin. Then again, he’s always grinning…

Now for those who don’t know, I’m gainfully unemployed right now. After some autism-powered math however, I’m working on a donation box (Jennie Breeden has the “Starving Artist fund” after all). With luck that’ll all be set up within the week and it’ll probably occupy the Advert slot at the bottom of the page (Because I’ve had no offers for anything else to go there).

So, stockpile your PayPals folks, I’m poor!

Yup, I really wasn’t kidding when I said I’d planned for Nameless’ trademark “dun-dunn-DUNN”. For those that didn’t get it the last time I has an extra (Gygax’s untimely demise), the extra there is an Out Of Context addition.

Azul’s bio has been added to the cast pages too, so extra coolness!

And, of course, welcome ye now to Remember, Book 2!

Ah, good to see you this Monday for the Book 1 finale! :P

Fun fact: There isn’t a single duplicated character design here, everything is 100% unique (With the possible exception of the priestly robes, by their nature).

Which brings up a point: In Book 2, there’s a good deal of underhanded things going on. This page gives you a hint on that, a neat little clue.

Ok, so I’ll see you on Thursday for the opening of Book 2, the cover for which will be up around Wednesday!

Well, here we are with the penultimate page of Book 1, 35 weeks (Thereabout at least) is probably the longest project I’ve ever worked on, and it’s only a 5th of the whole project so far.

What the heck did I sign myself into…

Oh yeah! Fun artwork and storytelling! :D

The key thing about revolutions is that, besides the simultaneous uprisings everywhere else, the thing that wins the act is usually the only battle. In this case, attacking the person controlling the big dragon armada, who is also the leader of the regime, is a pretty darn smart idea. There’s a lot of problems in the meantime though that they’ll need to overcome.

See you Monday for the Book 1 finale!

Okay, so I know you can’t actually use silent image through a scrying sensor, or even through it’s greater cousin. It’s not exactly a game-busting effect, unless you have some pretty stupid enemies for the level at which you can cast scrying.

So here we have Bedelia’s upperhand: Mining explosives. I considered this idea a while back, when I realised the cavern nature of Drow cities was a crippling weakpoint. For a while I questioned how they’d survived…

Oh, and for those that don’t get it, “Smith & Wesson” is a firearm manufacturer in reality.

The next couple pages are pretty cool in my opinion, keep your eyes peeled!

Music lyrics this time by Cat Power’s “I found a reason”, which I thought was especially appropriate.

Although just about every character in the penultimate frame is unique, I really think it could have come out better than I managed, I’m really not happy with it. The other frames though are pretty good, at least 2 should look familiar, and frame 5 is probably my favourite here, barring the final frame 7.

For those that can’t tell, the images go from recent events to older before the final, Oscar, Steph, the gang having fun, their parents before them, and Arcanon fighting the war for independence.

Hurray! Mithra gets to be useful! :P

So this sets up a fairly influential circumstance for the story, by having the Dwarves and the Drow working together, or at least part of the Drow.

Given time to adjust, I can see Xulva growing to like Bedelia. After all there’s certainly a shortage of women in power in Drow society that aren’t going to be gunning for her throat (Hence the wine spilling). Bedelia has everything to lose if she dies, so they should have a fairly nice relationship, once a few rocks are shoved away.

Now, historically, the Moon Elves are a Drow offshoot, so the Drow really aren’t fans, much less since a lot of less-educated folk mistake Moon Elves for Drow.
