And finally the last comic of 2009. She’s been a good year, full of changes, most of them good, and a year full of self-discovery and innovation on my part at least.
In 2009 I have completed my 3 years at Queen Elizabeth, one of the most fantastic places to learn in my life, travelled across the Atlantic Ocean entirely alone, spent a week in a city and nation which I’d only known of online and met many a person of the same note, got a tan stretching from halfway down my upper arms to halfway down my forearms (And not a millimetre futher), then come home with renewed adoration for our sweet little island, and run off to university in Middlesbrough, met three very very odd people to share a house with, and started really getting to know myself.
This has been a year full of personal changes and innovation for me.
I’m not sure what to expect from 2010, which seems to be the case for many, as we’re turning down 2009 on a rather quiet and calm note. One thing is to be certain however, the new decade is bringing a lot more turnabout in local and international affairs.
But rather than go about doomsaying, here’s to hoping that 2009 is setting the tone: Good changes.
Happy New Year everyone
