The C word.Lying has evidently picked up a few things for his age, which this page also gives us a hint of around when he stopped doing so (mid-50s, give or take). A renaissance man indeed.

One point I like here is the play on sake (Heaven’s Sake), meaning Lying has effectively just introduced Japan to its signature alcoholic beverage.

That’s all for now, I am prepping to go see Avenue Q, and will see you on Monday with a return to Grand Tusk. Have a great weekend folks!

  1. “Do it, for heaven’s Sake!”

  2. So, just trying to check my recap:
All major nations have fallen, save Schizotec (which doesn’t care).
The Elwind dwarves are resisting, but the Exersus is…gone? Fading?
Underground groups like kobolds and goblins are still around, though probably barely holding on. Nice irony there, considering how things go in Fat Fish Fury.

  3. The Sake joke doesn’t really work. In english it would be pronounced as in the phrase “For heaven’s sake”. In Japanese though, the beverage is pronounces SAH-KEY, not SAY-K

  4. Pronunciations of words change, Allan.
Give it a few more centuries and you’re there.
