He happens to like dinosaur-related explanations.
Honestly I think Roman may be one of my favourite side-characters. He’s sort of Wash meets Kaylee by way of Hurley, if you have seen Firefly and/or LOST at some point in your existence.

For some reason, Halloway, in this comic (especially in the last panel) seems more like the Roman you described than the actual Roman. Kaylee and Wash often told the captain that they could do x, “but –” and then Mal would cut them off.

I like these guys already. They are funny.

Okay, ridiculous theory: Are these guys from Lockutas?
I have NO evidence at all except that they seem steampunk-ish.

Nice artwork today!
Question: who are all these people introduced? I understand there’s some sort of history already associated with this world?

So far there’ve been a lot of fresh characters, regardless of their unique appearance (that much is just an artistic note of mine, rather than copy & paste characters). Halloway for example is brand new, whereas Roman was first and last seen 80 pages ago in the first half of Book 5. Roman, as is fairly evident, is basically Exersus’ chief engineer.
