Battle report #2
In essence, the application of the shield generator aboard the Citadel has divided the battlefield into two separate conflicts.

Outside the enclosure we have the separated Exersus forces who fight for survival against the Stradville forces, with little hope of reinforcements of their own now that they can’t access the existing tunnels under the palace. By the plan, there wasn’t supposed to by any resistance troops outside the Citadel’s influence, but simple human error has played to the advantage of the Empire and concessions must be made to prevent unnecessary bloodshed. If the ground outside the palace can be fortified, the resistance also stands a chance at victory even if the palace falls back into full Imperial control.

Within the enclosure, we have a battle of attrition as the palace guard fight against the Exersus forces swarming from the beachhead. Whilst this battle is safe from intervention by dragons or Imperial reinforcements, the High Lieutenants and Queen Sildyu still have many powers within the palace at their disposal, whereas the resistance has already played much of their hand in order to secure this state of affairs.

Both battles are vital and blood-soaked, but if the battle inside can be won, the battle outside ends as well.

  1. And they still have several people who I am sure the empire will be very surprised to meet…

  2. Indeed. Queen Sildyu will hopefully be surprised by the continued survival of one Lyinginbedmon.
