Teamwork! Yay!

Colour-blind edition

When last observed (Book 4), Mana was a sniper, and here today she is a melee fighter using twin daggers. Indeed her abilities are fairly inconsistent, but she’s always prepared for whatever situation she anticipates getting involved in within the near future. There are actual reasons she’s able to do this, which are predominantly linked to her involvement with Lockheed in Merinas, and particularly with Lorna’s love of ancient forgotten artifacts.

Rain on the other hand is not nearly so versatile, so whilst she specialises in Illusion magic to veil the reality of the battlefield and cause confusion in her opponents, she also keeps an array of elemental spells memorised just in case she should need them. Between her enchanted equipment and her substantial arcane knowledge this leaves her with still a lot of room for variety, but she’s limited to what she anticipates on a given day.

Fortunately for both then this particular day has been on the books for a very long time indeed, but if caught unawares neither one is in particularly good shape. As things would seem however, they are facing an enemy able to concoct new strategies in the blink of an eye, if not faster, so whether they can hold their own (if not emerge triumphant, of course) against Saleme remains to be seen.

That’s all for today, tune in on Wednesday for the triumphant return of the weekly Webcomic Feature, beginning with the comic I’ve been dreading for sometime, Order of the Stick.

  1. Why do the heroes or the villains announce their plans when they discover the special way to murder an entity entirely derived on focus?

  2. In her defense, Rangiramon seems to have a bit of a rivalry with Saleme and might have given into the urge to gloat. :33
