Fire and iron.

This strictly qualifies as a feint, since Lying was aware that the iron cube wouldn’t hold Sildyu for very long. It served to buy him time to produce those prismatic eyes undisturbed, which should prove to be a significant ranged arsenal.

Incidentally, hellfire betrays Sildyu’s association with Baator. It’s a product of the research of Mephistopheles, and oddly enough one of the reasons he owes such a large soul debt to Levistus. A debt that I believe we’ll soon be seeing him repay.

  1. Don’t have to stop her, just have to buy time so he can bring up some big enough guns to ruin the rest of her day…zis gonna be fun!

  2. Something that’s been bothering me.

Levistus gave Lying a very specific time frame to complete his deal. A time long since past.

  3. It was either explained in the comics or as Word of God.

    But anyway, here’s the summary:
Levistus gave him until his age is something I can’t really remember, Lying promptly started to regularly clone and kill (or is it kill and clone?) his body, effectively keeping his physical age more or less the same.
Plan got fucked with the adoption of Maeter and Tala due to the whole ‘ritual suicide’ thing that went with it. Hope I don’t have to spell that part out to you.

  4. Old age is fairly poorly defined…

  5. From what I remember(heh), he cheated by cloning himself every once in a while up untill Maeter and Tala happened.
